It’s one thing to compete in Olympic distance races on nothing more than a bulletproof coffee for breakfast and a few sips of water on the bike - people can just about buy that - but many seem to believe that racing an Ironman on anything less than 20 sugary gels, 15 Powerbars and 9 bananas is an impossibility.
I’ll be completely honest: my approach wasn’t absolutely 100% successful but nor was it a failure. I’ll share frankly and exactly what I did/ate/drank and attempt to come to some conclusions towards the end. Sounds fair enough, right? Good… let’s begin.
